Keith Hoffmann Condemns Abuse in Diocese of Providence

The findings in the Attorney General’s report on child sexual abuse in the Diocese of Providence are horrifying to any decent human being. For decades, children were abused by people entrusted with their care, and institutions failed to protect them.

I’m proud of the work our team in the Attorney General’s Office did to bring these facts to light. This was an enormous team effort, and I am honored to have played a role in supporting it.

My thoughts are with the survivors, their families, and everyone still working to heal. They deserve accountability. As Attorney General, I will remain committed to holding abusers and the institutions that cover for them responsible.

I’m grateful for Attorney General Peter Neronha’s leadership on this effort and proud to have his endorsement.
